About Avi Sipe
Hi, I’m Avi! I’m a Vermont watercolor artist who paints everyday objects with a soft, whimsical touch. My work blends elegance, warmth, and a little bit of nostalgia — creating watercolor art prints that bring comfort and personality into any space.
I started painting in my college apartment during a time when everything in my life felt like it was shifting — one of those seasons where you’re growing faster than you can explain, and your perception of the world is changing with you. Watercolor became the one steady thing I had. It slowed my mind down. It gave me something to hold onto when everything else felt in motion.
What surprised me most was how comforting it felt to paint the everyday objects around me — the things you pass by without thinking. There’s something grounding about noticing the small stuff. When you really look at an object, it becomes a tiny snapshot of who you were, where you were living, what mattered to you, and what made you feel at home.
Painting those pieces became a way of marking time — almost like keeping a visual diary without needing any words.
Today, my watercolor illustrations still carry that same softness and intentionality. Every piece is painted by hand and then scanned so the textures and little imperfections stay honest. My goal is to create artwork that feels personal, warm, and quietly beautiful — whether it ends up as home decor, a meaningful gift, or a print for someone’s first apartment.
Avi Sipe Art has grown far beyond the version of myself who first picked up a paintbrush in that college apartment. It’s become a shop, a community, and a part of my identity I’m incredibly proud of. Whether you’re drawn to whimsical objects, soft watercolor home decor, or unique wall art that feels comforting and familiar, I’m so glad you’re here.
